Fairwinds project management and inspection experience played an important role in the development of the Medusa and Frontrunner Deep Water pipeline projects.

Our project management team had a lead role in the interface management, installation, commissioning and DOT documentation of both systems. The projects included the S-lay of oil and gas pipelines, installing of in-line Wye assemblies, hanging of SCR's at the SPAR structure and retrofit of risers and tie-in-piping and systems at the receiving platforms.

The pipelines were S-laid in water depths ranging from 300 to 3300 feet. Inline Wye assemblies were installed on the SCR's prior to hanging on the SPAR hull at an approximate depth of 600 feet.

Our team worked closely with all project partners and was in charge of tracking, generating, reviewing and approving specifications and drawings. Fairwinds was responsible for managing the offshore installation of the pipelines including onboard QA/QC tracking and pipeline inspection services.

Our project management and field inspection team was tasked with the planning, contracting, field supervision and final reporting for the commissioning of both pipelines. Detailed commissioning procedures and drawings were generated for each stage of work. Upon completion of the commissioning, documentation was prepared and submitted in accordance with DOT requirements.
