Bachelor’s degree required, with 3+ years work experience. P.E. preferred.

Individual must have experience in the design, design verification, construction management, start-up and operation of oil and gas producing facilities, both onshore and offshore. Must be able to perform engineering design on separators, valves, oil and gas treating equipment, instrumentation, piping and pipelines, compressors, and dehydration facilities. Must have the ability to generate MMS Facility Permit applications with Process Flow Drawings, Plot Plans, Safe Charts, Area Electrical Classification, Safety Equipment Layouts. Must be able to visit offshore platforms to gather data, make field sketches and measurements, for facility modifications and due diligence applications.

 

Piping Designer / Drafter:
Full time position in the Covington, LA office.
High School degree required, with 6+ years work experience.

Individual needed to prepare piping plans by drawing system, components, and parts.
Must have the ability to prepare rough sketches by studying engineering specifications; creating a picture of the system, components, and parts. Prepare final drawings by studying engineering sketches, specifications, and supporting documents; developing a layout of the system, components, and parts; drawing multiple views of the system, components, and parts; depicting relationship of components and parts; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials. Identifies and verifies specifications by examining engineering documents; performing calculations. Modifies drawings by studying changes; redrawing system, components, and parts; changing identifications. Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; conferring with engineers. Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures. maintains data base by entering data; completing backups. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading technical publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
